Trade Site Price Sorting Issue
|
It seems that within the last few hours a change happened where newly listed items are valued differently from items posted prior to this change. Items posted after this change are valued at ~50% more in the currency sort, despite being listed for less.
I am not referring to the specific exchange rates between different currency types - the items listed before and after this change are valued differently even within the same currency type. For example in the Original Sin market, rings being listed for 4300 divines, 5 mirrors, and even 8 mirrors are showing up earlier in the currency sort than lower priced items posted after whatever change caused this issue: ![]() This behavior can be observed with any item that has listings from before and after when this change happened. This problem will eventually fix itself as every listing get refreshed by the seller or a prospective buyer pinging the listing. However, until then it can lead to some buyers overpaying for older listings that are sorted higher than new listings. this isn't a bug, more on the lines of technical limitation... the trade site is in the process of updating values because GGG updated the internal ratios.
this happens when GGG updates the currency exchange rates(chaos:div/etc...) and will fix itself within a few days(and in this case it is already done)... its not instant(unless you want GGG to take the servers down to update those ratios this is going to be what happens) the trade site sorts by chaos equivalent pricing by default... so when the ratio gets updated old listings will have old ratio equivs stored for sorting and it takes time for the system to update everything. |
