Scarabs missing from map device after opening screaming invite

Title says it all.
Got a screaming invite, popped it in the atlas map device, ran it, went back to do another map, all scarabs gone. They're not in my inventory, not in my map device, not in my stash.

If it was the same character before and after, the scarabs would've been pushed into your inventory (or map device storage) when the map device brought up the slot for the invite.

If you changed characters for the invite, the scarabs should still be in the first character's map device--the map device's contents (not the storage on the left side of the Atlas, but map+scarab slots) are not shared storage across characters.

I did not change characters. This was actually the 2nd screaming invite I ran today and I wound up getting my old scarabs back from the previous atlas strat I was doing. So this means I think, that I need to run 21 more eater influenced maps to get my scarabs back. That should NOT be a thing!

Try putting scarabs in your map device at any normal map, then navigating to any unique map or invitation. See for yourself what happens.


The character you opened the invite with was the same character you were using for your current atlas strat?
It sounds like you changed to a character you hadn't used for a while (had scarabs from an old atlas strat), then opened the invite, which pushed those old scarabs into your inventory.

I did not change characters. I was running ritual to get itemised corpses, got a screaming invite, ran it, lost the ritual scarabs. Changed to boss rush strat, was running that, got screaming invite, opened it, got ritual scarabs back, boss rush scarabs poofed.

Just did what you said, all scarabs that I put in for the test came back to my inventory, but not the boss rush scarabs that I lost.
