How is someone to know these things?

I used a couple coins to imbue two skill gems with a level 1 support and now I learn that I cannot socket them into the same piece of gear. I'm playing BAMA and figured I could use a coin on each movement skill, but nope. They won't go into the same piece of gear now. WTF is this game. It just seems like around every corner there is a chance to completely brick a character so that we must waste more time doing something that wouldn't be necessary if tooltips actually gave good tips. So over this bullsh*t

We could always socket corrupted items into the same piece of gear, but with this new mechanic we can't? I mean as much as I understand that now, why should I have assumed that? There is always so much power creep in these games, but ohh the line must be drawn at level 1 supports?


I just want to try out the new league mechanics without bricking my build and being forced to go back into lab (which is like a decade old at this point, no?). Too much to ask?

Probably about done with this league. Between this new development and dealing with all the Raise Spectre shenanagins that goes on with that gem. Yea..

Read the patch notes?

agreed, reading the patch notes is the most important step, it is like blaming the weather for not bringing the umbrella.

I respectfully disagree that players are expected to read the patch notes to know how the game work. This is not a job. The wiki and PoB is already pushing it, which I personally give it a reluctant pass for how complex the game is, but reading paragraph of technical reports is not how a game supposed to deliver information.

If reading patch notes is 'pages of technical reports' then tik tok has truly destroyed us.

And its a live service game that constantly changes. You have to read patch notes if you want to keep up.

I trully believe everybody is right here.

The game is overwhelming with too much infomation even for regulary players? Is, it is.


But it is what it is. We can dedicate ourselves to keep up to date, we can play anyway and take the consequences of the unknowing (my case often), or we can install Zombie x Plants on cell phone and quit PoE...

In other words, it is a lot of information indeed, but it is a what? a 13 years old game that constantly provide new features? So there is no other way.


My only complaint is that they should give new features whitout mess with the ones that already exist. But this is another post..
