This season just felt like it had no end game.

There is just no ways to juice maps enough for them to stay fun. The gutting of t17's, gutting of risk scarabs, the limpness of astrolabes, and increased ground loot + needing to do the same mechanic twice every map for less return just sucked man.

When arguably the best farm is just rushing down easy nightmare bosses over and over to sell/farm uber shards, is the only decent farm, something is off on maps.

It's kind of like my bud said, "maps just suck, better off just killing katarina over and over."

As someone who frankly hates PoE bosses due to all the annoying ass invulnerability stages wasting everyone's time... man I wish I could just play Phrecia.

I mean if the game actually ran with more than single digit FPS during a juiced breach we'd have that, but it doesn't, and Path of Chugging isn't a fun gameplay loop either.

Late endgame is the hardest thing to balance because the turbo meta builds will always trivialize everything. If you add 500% deli with 200x mob hp that prints 10x currency and 10,000 unique belts per map a strength stacker will still walk all over it like it's nothing and that will be the only thing worth farming. Party play will still trivialize everything on day 1 as well. There's room to bump the difficulty but not as much as people think.

It is kind of silly that "maps per hour" strategies that require no character power like low investment strongbox are neck and neck with high investment breach right now, but that solves itself once mirage goes away.
THe endgame is to id belts ;P

Worst gamble ever, like state lottery and similar odds. But yeah that seems to be the most popular thing to do right now.

Well what get's me is I'm playing an intentionally bad extremely non-meta mapping build, and even I feel like I'm just tearing through everything that isn't an uber boss (as the build simply isn't designed to be a bosser.)

Maps just don't feel very punchy. Outside of the occasional soul eater, or some of the Verisium ore bosses everything just kind of drops, and this is again a shit build. Like the kind of shit non meta build that there are literally only 2 other people on PoE Ninja are even trying to run.

Roll this back a couple seasons and you could run multi risk t17s and at least have punchy mobs that could kill you.

What it comes down to I think is that I just don't feel the need to min max any harder, or upgrade gear as there just isn't much of a point. The build will never be a good bosser, but also there isn't any reason to improve it as a mapper. :/ Sure I could toss on another 200k ehp, and double my dps, but I can't say I see a reason to.

It doesn't help that when I try to do some coop all anyone wants to run is bossers as maps are well... kinda dull to run if they offer zero risk.

I feel like so many people this season just went 38/40 challenges and quit for a similar reason. And hell as someone who couldn't care less about cosmetic rewards I don't even have that.

The season just feels like the game is shifting to a "participation trophy" reward scheme. Doesn't matter if you have an uber build, or an awful one, it feels like grinding out your $15 an hour without any real path to promotion.

end game is gambling the belts. last league it was gambling on the tree hoping to get a mageblood and whatever else people wanted. if you dont enjoy gambling there is really not that much to do in poe these days

You're not wrong. It's just kind of sad.

They really need to rebuff mapping.
every time they add new endgame the community rejects it. . .tier 17 maps anyone?
