next morning... the same "failed to connect to instance"

I had the same thing happen to me (EU server), and it wouldn't work no matter which server I'd try to connect from in the EU. I picked Japan and was able to log in, after which EU servers worked fine. If you try that and it works, remember to create new instance/switch maps so you won't be connecting to the Japanese instance/server.
