To this day i thought shadow will not arrive anytime soon. No leaks, no hints, no discussions.

Same here, it was my favourite class in PoE1 by far. No matter if Sabo trapster or Assassin builds of any kind... But I fear the worst that it will be the last class to be released :(

I've been looking forward to Swords coming hopefully soon (to help flesh out that area of the Passive Tree as well as I think Swords are cool).
But I would be super stoked if we got Daggers because I keep trying to build Poison/Bleed and I think it's OK rn but is still missing some key pieces. Don't get lost by being so focused on the target that you forget to enjoy your surroundings.

I am most excited for the Samurai class and the Ninja, Ronin, and Kensai ascendancies.

" Yep, my hope to see this is basically nil... would be cool though to see them branch out a bit and do something thematically different than the same old same old. Ninja definitely fits better with Shadow. Samurai in general could be ultra sword focused, even restricted, limited or no spell use etc. but able to use swords in ways others can't...I'll write it up more formally and post it when I get bored. |

Just curious, cause I haven't touched PoE1 for a long time...
I've just checked PoE ninja and realized, that Shadow is one of the least played character of all in the new PoE1 league. No matter which league (SC/HC, SSF or trade), they are far behind every other class (at least in Poe.ninja....And yes, I'm aware of it, that it doesn't show the absolute numbers but it's still a good statistical overview). Odd question to ask in the PoE2 section but its quite simple:
Trickster has reigned supremely for a very long time because T17 maps were the most valuable maps to farm and Trickster could not only ignore most of the extremely annoying, if not build-bricking, mods as well as leverage the most popular and argueably strongest defense: ES. Trickster itself got slightly nerfed. T17 mapmods reworked and loot reduced. ES received a nerf as well but is still strong. Regardless: All that combined made Trickster a far less compelling option, mostly because T17s werent the most valuable stomping grounds anymore and other builds can easily outcompete Trickster as far as maps below the T17 threshold are concerned. All of those nerfs were deserved and overdue but also ended the Tricksters supreme reign as far as the topend farming outside T17s and uber bosses are concerned. |

If nobody knew it, then I may have tried in PoE1 forums. Just came to my mind when checking Poe.ninja^^ I guess Assassin and Sabotuer were outliers anyway in the last seasons then.
