Spectre in 2nd slot doesn't become a wisp on death, therefore losing it forever.

I thought since 3.27, whenever a spectre would die in a map, they would become a wisp and come back whenever you would go to the next map.
Raise spectre gem can have 2 spectres by default. in my case this works with the spectre in the first slot, but not the 2nd slot. As soon as the spectre in the 2nd slot dies, it poofs forever, so i keep having to buy new corpses to replace. very annoying. In my setup, the 2nd slot spectre is a perfect pain artist, just in case it's relevant to the bug. Last bumped on Apr 8, 2026, 7:34:04 AM

This seems consistent with 3 spectre limit also, when the 2nd oldest spectre dies it does not come back.
I've had to rebuy spectres SOOOO MANY TIMES. Incredibly frustrating |

I've actually tested it on the Perfect Forest Warrior, Perfect Hydra, and Perfect Pain Artist. I've bought new ones many times (dozens) and it's always the same. But there's a catch. I had a maximum of two ghosts in the pool, and the Pain Artist always died and disappeared, while the Forest Warrior always remained. Then I applied a node to +1 ghosts, and there were three in the pool. I added a Hydra, and now it always disappears, while the other two remain, but if they are killed, they also disappear. Corpses don't appear in the hideout (only if you pull the stone while the ghosts are alive), and they don't follow you as lights; they simply disappear, as before. I haven't found any mention in the patches of ritual ghosts being single-use again, so it's clearly a glitch. I have about 10,000 hours of experience playing minions, by the way. So, all sorts of nuances like +leveling minions on a stick, changing weapons, etc. I take this into account, but this build doesn't have that (wardloop). |
